Put an aspirin in your washing machine, and discover the effect it has!
No matter how hard you try to properly wash white clothes, sometimes it appears without warning: the dreaded gray. And once it’s there, the clothes seem to get grayer with each wash. But it turns out that there is a secret weapon in your medicine closet that helps eliminate this problem.
Look for five 325mg aspirin tablets and dissolve them in 2 liters of hot water. You can also break the tablets so that they dissolve faster.
Now put the grayish garments in the mixture and let it soak for 8 hours, or simply overnight. Make sure all clothing is completely immersed in the water. Alternatively, you can also choose to add aspirin tablets in the washing machine, but letting them dissolve first is a better tactic.
After 8 hours, remove the clothes and let them dry, or if you prefer, put them in a normal cycle of the washing machine. In addition to fighting gray, aspirin also serves to help remove stains!
If you want to remove blood stains, however, you need to first dissolve aspirin in cold water before soaking the garments for 2 hours. Do not try to remove blood stains with hot water. The protein in the blood clumps together, thus making the stain even more difficult to remove.
Aspirin contains a weak acid that produces great effects. There’s no need to buy expensive cleaning products if you have a couple of pills in your medicine cabinet!
