HABITS THAT ARE MAKING YOU AGE FASTER!

The aging process is inevitable, but there are some factors which greatly accelerate its development. Many people are aging faster than they should, which brings unpleasant changes and numerous health problems. Here’s a list of seven habits we do every day that are making you age faster:

  1. NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP

Nowadays, it has become pretty common to stay late at night on the computer or smartphone. However, this habit can significantly wear down our body and cause inflammation, while reducing metabolism and weakening your immune system. Don’t spend your time in bed scrolling through your smartphone – go to sleep and get some rest in order to slow down the aging process and stay healthy. Experts recommend 7-8 hours of sleeping overnight – according to studies, this will reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems, asthma and allergies as well.

  1. ALLERGIES

Allergies are a sign of inflammation within the body and can sometimes have severe symptoms. If you don’t know what you’re allergic to, visit a doctor and take an allergy test.

  1. LATE RETIREMENT

People nowadays retire later than they are supposed to. Working over the age of 60 has become a common thing for a big part of the population. However, this is a bad habit that is making us age faster – people are worried about what they’ll do at home when they’re still feeling energetic, but taking up some hobbies or travelling the world will help you stay in shape and have some fun after retirement.

  1. EXCESS WEIGHT

Excess weight is the source of many health problems, and one of them is making you age faster. Being overweight is also related to type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, asthma, insomnia, stroke, liver and kidney disease as well as cancer. Being underweight is also a problem, so it’s very important to stay in shape.

  1. LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC THROUGH EARPHONES

Listening to loud music through your headphones all the time may damage your hearing beyond repair and losing one of the most important senses is surely going to accelerate the aging process.

  1. LONELINESS

Being lonely can cause depression and stress. According to Tim Smith, a psychologist from the University of Brigham, lonely people are 30% more likely to die prematurely than those surrounded with people.

  1. SUGAR AND PROCESSED FOODS

You should immediately eliminate sugar and processed foods from your diet as they’re not doing your health any favors. They are responsible for weakened immune system, weight gain, depression and even cancer which is why they should be avoided. Your diet should be based on fresh fruit and vegetables and healthy meals.

As you can see, many of the things we do every day are responsible for our rapid aging. Avoid them in order to slow down the aging process and stay healthy and youthful.
